    Hi Nige B
Your first post, welcome to the Pure Planet community!

Others may correct me, but I think this link explains how to read your smart meter:

    https://community.purepla.net/thread...ghlight=SMETS2

This FAQ might explain why you still need to read your meters, for the moment:

  • hi Nige
because until your meter is updated it won’t send readings and there are teething problems so until all is fixed i’m afraid you will need to send readings, but once a month is fine and don’t worry if you miss one, the next submission will correct the statement.
As far as reading it or them depends on which meters you have /who installed but in general you press a button to wake them usually 9 or 6 or a or b
post back if you have difficulty.

  • It depends on what version of smart meter you have @Nige B - if it's a SMETS2 then PP should be getting readings from it unless there are other issues (and as @woz says there are still kinks being worked out in the new system).

If you have a SMETS1 meter then it will remain non-smart until it gets enrolled into the DCC network next year.

EDIT: I should learn to read. You said SMETS2 in your OP, sorry!
My SMETS2 installed by PP appears to be sending readings to them so there might be a problem communicating with your meter which will be being worked on by the team.
