  • Friday greetings to you too @Marc.

The name rings a bell but I haven't had a proper look at them before. Really nice stuff.

I like that you can earn points with them too. Good post.

  • Good morning to you all,

I imagine all the cricket fans are floating around blissfully today.

A few weeks ago I came across some websites for more environmentally coffins. After some deliberation and running it by @Nataly, I'll not attach any pictures, just post the links. Apologies if this is a sensitive issue for anyoen and hope it doesn't upset anyone.

  • These guys are lovely and beautiful products.

They also make a small donation from every soap sold to The Orangutan Protection Foundation UK to help rescue, rehabilitate & release Orangutans displaced by the palm oil industry.

  • Hi @Marc. I saw the BUT and thought I was in trouble for a minute there!

Basically, I'm a total nerd and have no life, haha. Seriously though, I just like searching around for stuff and find all sorts of mad stuff.

    Hahaha not just me then!
It's great stuff @NannyOgg and we're looking at how we can make this great collection of links in some sort of guide for Members.
Might be tricky to do it in a way which doesn't make it look like we (as in, PP) endorse them all..... but I'm thinking it could for starters make a good article in our FAQs.
    What do you reckon?

  • Yes I think you're right. It is one thing to have a forum of your customers information and recommendations but quite another to actually advertise or officially link to a specific company.

As has been mentioned previously, PP could approach someone like Ethical Superstore or another similar and have some kind of discount agreement.

Alternatively, you could issue a strict disclaimer stating that the guide is merely personal suggestions made by members. What I will say though, and I hope I will be forgiven for the following statement, but PP could be seen as endorsing a certain company that they issue reward vouchers for. I'm sure it will be less problematic giving some kind of endorsement to a company that is actually ethical in nature.

An article in FAQs could be a good way to go.

    Yep, good shout @NannyOgg
We'll look into that, as well as an FAQ

You're def not the first to say so.
We chose Amazon vouchers because when we launched PP and were in full on 'start-up' mode it was the simplest option.
But we know that many Members would like a choice of ways to redeem their reward for referring friends, including a choice of stores, credit on their account, ways to donate some to charity.
This is coming soon and I hope to be able to share some designs in the next few weeks for you guys to see our work in progress!
    Thanks for this feedback though

  • I stumbled upon this website while looking for shampoos as they have a very useful blog post about how to use shampoo bars (been struggling with them but these steps really helped out) :https://earthbits.com/blogs/earthbit...e-shampoo-bars
I am tempted to try and order something from the website, is seems like a family run business. Has anybody bought from them/ would recommend them? They also have cleaning brushes which is my next swap on the list as soon as my old plastic one can't be used anymore, and that's the last supermarket one I am going to buy for sure!

    Thanks! Very useful!

  • @NannyOggUpdate: so i got my package from the EarthBits lot, all went well and product is nice. No plastic at all, all came with a recycled cardboard box and paper tape, and they added a note saying they even used almond-based glue for the label! Happy me!
