I understand your disappointment. Wholesale energy costs have risen 25% in 2018, and this is something that has affected the whole market.
We’ve absorbed the rising costs but now we need to increase our Members’ rates (the per kilowatt hour unit rates) to reflect the price we pay for your energy.
In the last few weeks, we’ve made a statement on our website and price comparison sites: "Prices in the wholesale market remain higher than expected. It's likely that we'll need to increase our Members' rate in the near future."
We also posted a thread in the community last month about a possible rise
. And published our latest quarterly blog post
about the wholesale energy market.
Remember that we don't charge exit fees and have no fixed term contracts. You’re free to switch to another supplier at any time. We hope you'll stay - our tariff is still very competitive. If you’d like, please take a look on a price comparison site to check if we're still the right fit for you.
If you decide to leave us, please stick with renewables if you can.
