Our smart meter was installed yesterday but the engineer said there is no signal so we have no reader and that this was an issue for our whole village. When will this be resolved?

Hi
You're talking to fellow PP customers on this forum, and as such we don't have access to customers accounts. But we will help if we can.
There are no call centres with PP, it is an app-based company.

You need to send your message to the team directly via Wattbot.

if you go to the app and click on the
☰ menu at the top, then click on help, then ask Wattbot,

Then you need to type in 'message the team' .

When we had a smart meter installed in wild, rural Wales (where we can't even get a mobile signal), the first transmitting thingy didn't work so the installer swapped it (not the whole meter, just the thingy) for one that used a different frequency or something (and apparently was a little more expensive) and it seems to work fine now.

Thanks for responding. Who was it that installed it for you? Our engineer didn't say anything about being able to swap the device at the time, just that I should wait for Pure Planet to get in touch 🤷‍♀️

Hi @CorrieFM it was done for Octopus (Cooperative Energy) but the installer may just have been a smart meter contractor. Sorry I can't help much. D
