I have been waiting for over 2 years for a smart meter. Is this normal or has my request been forgotten? How can I find out whether Pure Planet still intend to install a smart meter for me?

Under normal circumstances I would say, no it’s not ‘normal’ however the lockdowns caused by the CoVid Pandemic are not ‘normal circumstances,’ Pure Planet discussed some of the issues caused by lockdowns here:
Has your request been forgotten? I doubt it, but Magnum, Pure Planet’s installers, are working to install where they have engineers available, which is not the same thing as ‘first come, first served.’

In theory at least, they have to install one eventually unless you refuse it - it’s part of OFGEM’s requirements, you could try asking WattBot, who may need to pass the message to Member Services.
