I have a smart meter, but no display

Hi I have a smart meter, but not digital display (to put on my worktop), and am still being asked for manual readings.

 

How do I go about getting a digital display to hook up to my smart meter?

Hi

Sometimes it takes a while after you change suppliers for the configuration to happen so that PP can get your readings automatically. But it will happen. See this:

I think you may have to ask for a IHD directly from the PP team by sending your message to the team directly via Wattbot.

if you go to the app and click on the
☰ menu at the top, then click on help, then ask Wattbot, 

Then you need to type in 'message the team' .

It will then offer you a few options of faq,  if none apply - then click on the box that says 'message the team',

Then wait until you see the reply from Wattbot saying 'OK, I've passed our conversation to the team. Anything to add? Send it below and the team will see it.'

You can then type in your message (and any photos), then send it 

please note it’s not a live-chat and it’ll be 2 or 3 working days before they’re able to reply.

You're talking to fellow PP customers on this forum, and as such we don't have access to customers accounts. But we will help if we can.

Have you just switched to PP, did you have a IHD before .

You do not need an IHD inorder to take readings, you can get them, and should get them, straight from your actual meters.

It's need to 'wake up'  the meters by pressing one of the buttons to activate the display. 

The you can read the meters and submit your readings. 

 

Hi thanks for your reply! Yes I have recently switched to pure planet. I never had an IHD. How can I get one? 

 

I'm aware of how to get my readings, however I'm wondering why I am having to send my readings, if I have a smart meter?thanks!
