My existing tariff expires shortly and the suggested PP replacement is over £500 more expensive. This seems way above the average rise.

Unfortunately prices have increased for all suppliers, my own fixed deal ends soon, and after going a comparison decided to lock into a new fix. There have been two new Tariff increases since.

By all means  try comparison sites, but PP are still competitive although not the cheapest

If you do a comparison, make sure you use the figures PP used and check the unit rates and standing charges
