I’m unable to add dir3ct débit via app. It keeps timing out. Clearly issue with app.

Can you log in online at Purepla.net (device you use will need to be able to receive your email?), can you try that?
Try deleting and reloading app (it might not help but it’s worth a try)
are you able to use help and support in app?
if no joy with above send message to the team, persist through bot replies, they will sort it.
