Easily makes enough for two days our Mads, and it’s even tastier on day two! I always think that, but today I added extra πŸ‹and meltedΒ extra πŸ§€πŸ§€πŸ§€on at the end, baked it in oven and covered in foil so pasta didn’t dry out. Truly gorgeous! πŸ˜³πŸ‘πŸ˜œ

I think so our Mads, but I’mΒ having me bloomin doubts now😳. Yeah pretty sure it is. So many cooking progs on, get mixed up, but this is the best. Can learn soooooooo much from it, I love learning about the different foods, seeing the different ways to prepare them. A lot is the aesthetics, of course, but I do love all that. Really cosy viewing indeed! Brrrrrrrr hee! 😁

I can honestly say our Nat, so far and I know early days, but this first group, who featured Monday and Tuesday, have been soooooooooo entertaining! Usually takes at least a week doesn’t it, to either embrace them or switch off 🀣, but been gripped both nights πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘. All lovely warm, willing to learn, individuals.Β 

Think it’s next on, Nat, Friday. Monty first BBC2 then Chef BBC1.perfect.Β 

I agree, you can learn so so much from it can’t you! No spoilers but they did a fab πŸ§€πŸ§€πŸ§€πŸ§€test our Nat. I got three out of four! Quite impressed hee. No spoilers again, but the Carbonara in 15 mins had surprising results.Β

Prepared a vegeatable soup, as follows……

12 Spring Onions

Half a mooli

fresh fennel bulb

2 Courgettes

Fresh basil leaves

Handful mange tout

Juice of 2 limesΒ 

All simmering in a saffron stock, slowly thru the night. Perfect πŸ‘

Behold! Marc’s Marrow/Courgette and Lentil mash-up surprise, with added garden veg

This marrow (or is it a large courgette?) was donated by a kindly neighbour.

Followed this recipe for baked marrow/lentils with spinach

  • a medium-sized marrow
  • 250g small brown or green lentils
  • 2 large shallots
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 6 medium-sized tomatoes or 20 cherry tomatoes
  • chilli sauce, such as harissa
  • 2 handfuls of green leaves such as spinach or chard

Came out of the oven as this:

Blended in Ninja, to a rough pulp, few chunky bits. Smells soooooooooo fresh!Β
