Since it seems everyone's going to be spending a little bit more time at home than usual, I thought we could give this a go! πŸ˜…

Below is a very close-up pic of an everyday household item - can you guess what it is? πŸ•΅

Happy to answer any questions/provide clues!

Once successfully guessed, feel free to add your own photo(s) of household items and any clues…

Let's see how this goes 😁

Well then, I am still in the β€œcool zone” and not really any closer - time for a cuppa.

A OK Woz - I've had my quota of guesses - nighty night to the night owls.

I did use a mirror to check on the surgeon’s expertise with his knife.

Ok here's the next clue for tomorrow, (oops just noticed it is tomorrow already!)
Many questions in the community about....?

the answer is meter readings...(sic)

(For those of you who are annoyed that I'm stringing this out at length, apologies - but hey look at the fun we're all having...)

What is it @woz, I'm stumped! 😡

My guess is a meter cupboard door 😁

Shot in the dark - is it the security clip/tag on the meter? πŸ˜—

Oh, what about β€œthe slot” for a coin operated electric meter 😬

OK here are the clues again
Another fine mess you got me into Stanley
meter readings...(sic) (think about the spelling)
For those of you who are annoyed that I'm stringing this out at length...
These can be a bit lethal if misused.

If I were to post a slightly larger photo, even if it's only by a few millimetres it would be too obvious so come on...
Let's have some more guesses.

I may be mean but even I haven't resorted to a coin operated meter yet!

Tape measure?

YAY!!!! Well Done! The clues were a bit cryptic but that was the fun...
It was hard to find an angle that didn't give it away hence the peculiar framing.

Tape measures. The he shops will be selling out of these today as people buy them to measure the distance between self and passing strangers! As we are allowed to go to supermarkets and bike shops we should be able to buy one and it is now, courtesy of Boris, an β€œessential item”.

The story of the Good Samaritan in the Bible has got nothing on present times. I went out for an early morning walk yesterday, passed one or two doing the same but some stepped off the wide path to avoid me. Talk about passing by on the other side of the road! Miserable b...ars as well. I smiled and said β€œgood morning” and from some I was presented with a disdainful look as if I was smelly! Well I may have been!

Thee handle of an old toasting iron from the days we would toast bread on an open fire. It looks like it has been stored away for years.

In light of knowing it's a tape measure... these clues are fantastic 😁 so glad @Duppy guessed it otherwise I would've gone mad! Great stuff!

glad you enjoyed it Nat, and here's a handy hint for energy customers, Stay at least two meters away...especially if they are smart (do I have to add sic?)
