Moving out - what do I do?

Moving house can be a tricky time and there’s lots to think about.

At Pure Planet, we want to make sure you don’t have to worry about your energy supply through this time.

Whenever you move house, you can't take your energy supplier with you - you become a deemed customer of whoever supplies the property you move in to. Don't worry, you can switch back to Pure Planet once you've moved in!

To tell us when you're moving home, go to Menu > Account and you’ll see a button called ‘Move out’.

When you tap on 'Move out' we'll ask you for the date you’re moving - the calendar shows up to two days in advance to pick from. This is to make sure we get accurate final meter readings.

Let us know what date you’re moving out

Then we'll ask you to confirm your forwarding address so we know where to send your final bill, and ask for a final meter reading.

If you’re on our 100% Green Fixed tariff it’s worth noting that exit fees will apply if you move out of your property before the last 50 days of your contract.
Once in your new property, you can start a new switch to Pure Planet - if you do decide to switch your new property to us, we’ll refund your exit fees!

Not only that, if you switch back to Pure Planet within three months, you'll get a £25 reward! Just make sure you use the same email address for your new PP account.

If your move out will incur exit fees, we’ll let you know:

To check what tariff you’re on and any exit fees that apply, you can also tap ‘Tariff & usage’ in your account.

That's it! We'll email you to confirm that your home move is underway.
