Having started a switch to PP ten days ago I haven’t heard anything, it would be good to be able to monitor progress if I’ve been successful or not ...or should I just go to Octopus..

When you say you've started a switch.....have you confirmed the switch via the verification email from PP? As per the following instructions:
If you haven't got the email.....have you checked your junk folder?
