Idea Status: Implemented! ❤️

This really irritates me (I have tried cream from the doctor but to no avail)
When there's a thread with posts from more than one poster and I reply to more than one, the replies concatenate in the same post from me despite being made separately. This only happens (I think?) if I reply within the designated time where my reply could be edited.
If I were to reply to one at a time hours apart the posts would be separate.
What I'd like to see is each reply to each person as a separate post.
There's an example of this HERE , (scroll down).
Such a change would also make it easier for posters to locate replies to their posts, which would be a benefit to PP

Maybe I've missed it, but is there a way to reply quoting more than one post?

I've done it, but had to copy and paste the html code to do it.
Hi @Oakbank
Interesting. And yes I can see why it would be useful.
I'd use it a lot?
But is this idea the same as this one already posted by @woz ?
I need to test this out to see exactly what you mean @woz
Let's add some multiple replies to this thread and see what we can do.....

Honestly Marc, I'm not sure wot @woz was on about. (sorry @woz)though the linked example makes it clearer. Yes, it is similar to my idea.

I did a multiple quote https://community.purepla.net/threads/3692-Announcing-Members’-rate-increase-from-15-January-2019?p=17983&viewfull=1#post17983 but I had to type the html code to do it. Scroll down to 27-11-18, 19:46

And while we're at it,how did you reduce your link to same as this one. I cheated.
Hi @Oakbank

No worries.
I've merged the two ideas/threads into one.

This is how you embed a link into text.

You copy the link. Then highlight the words you want to use as the link text.

Then tap/click on the link icon in your editor tool bar to highlight the words.

This opens a dialogue box.

Paste the link in there.

Are you desktop or mobile? Very fiddly on mobile.

This is an illustrative test reply to marc

as you can see the reply to two different posters (one made shortly after the other) have ended up in the same frame.

My expectation would be that each reply should in a separate reply frame dedicted to each member separately?

Because each post was made close in time the software has treated it the same as an edit. Had I waited until the edit time was over after posting the oak reply, the replies would have been separate.
Is that any clearer?

Thanks @woz
Yes, clearer. I tried to do the same, but my two replies have appeared as two separate replies, not one!!
Just to confirm - are you clicking/tapping on the 'reply' button beneath each post, or the 'quote' button?

they reside in the same reply although made separately one shortly after the other.
Maybe it's the way my computer handles them?

Right at least I know what's happening.
Time to look in the back end 😉
Hi @woz and @Oakbank
Think I've found the cause of this.
Working on fixing it!
Good morning @woz @Oakbank @Bev
I'm saying this quietly..... I think I've sorted your double posting issue. :)
Can you give it a go?

Ermmmmm, let me try remember Marc 🤔🧐. Possibly System error if I recall correctly, I just clicked on back button to escape, and post had successfully posted, so dunno why said error, but as far as your replies to more than one post go, all seems to work fine 👍👍👍
