Drop the decimal point in estimated readings

Idea Status: Under Consideration

Pure Planet, like my previous 5 energy suppliers, asks people to ignore the figure after the decimal point when entering meter readings. I suspect some meter reading issues occur when people enter the entire string of digits by mistake.

It would be more consistent if Pure Planet only used whole numbers for its estimated readings, instead of quoting them to one decimal point as it does currently?

This would help reinforce the point (sorry!) that only whole numbers should be used.

But it could lead to large percentage errors in short timeframe estimates..also it won’t work accurately with gas conversion. I guess I could live with it but bear in mind it would also skew statement balance by up to 8 pence.

This is very interesting @Lenny
Agreed that it can be confusing to have decimal points showing on the monthly statement, and lead to Members sending wrong readings.
They don't show in the app's usage page so it must be doable.

Indeed, this confused my mother and she sent an inaccurate reading.
