Warm Home Discount

The Warm Home Discount scheme becomes mandatory when an energy supplier reaches a certain size.

It’s a scheme where suppliers can support vulnerable customers by providing rebates of £140 to their accounts.

We'll be offering the Warm Home Discount for winter 2020/21, and this will be split in two ways:

1. If you already get the ‘guarantee’ element of a pension credit from the Government, you’ll get £140 automatically as part of the scheme. You should get a letter from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) between October and December to confirm this and any steps you need to take.

2. If you don't already get the guarantee element of pension credit, but you do get other benefits, you may still be eligible. The criteria first needs to be agreed between Pure Planet and Ofgem. Once this has been done, we’ll update Members in the Autumn.

If you’d like to find out more, in your account tap ‘get help and support’ > ‘ask a question’ and type ‘warm home discount’.
