What do the Pure Planet badges and titles mean?

Here in the Pure Planet Community we like to thank Members who take part and help others.

Titles are an indication of how busy you’ve been. The more you’ve posted and chatted to other Members, the ‘higher’ you go.

We’ve also got a few badges which can be unlocked.

Some community badges are earned quickly. Others are unlocked the more you get involved, and the more kudos you get from other Members.

As you earn badges, you’ll see them appear in your community page.

Got an idea for a badge? Share it here!

Here’s all the current Community badges:

Maybe a badge for any member who’s been featured in Spotlight? A Spotlight badge?

Maybe a badge depending on what level you’ve reached, perhaps?

(this is where the updating of a post, if you posted a few mins after an earlier post, came in handy, as all my suggestions would be on one post. Now all be new posts)

I've gained an EV badge, all I need now is an EV to go with it.
This is the only one that fits in with my international gigolo image and it's in budget...

Just a teeny hypothetical question, Marc. Say someone had a few days, weeks, whatever, away from the ole community, could one potentially lose their little badges?! 🙀🙀🙀😫, or once they’re issued, are they for keepsies? 🤷*♀️

Isn't that what the edit button is for?

Hi @Bev
Good question!
It depends on the badge.
Some are automated - for example Members who get given a certain number of Best Answers will get the 'Helpful Member' badge. So that'll be for keeps (unless those Best Answers are taken away! But I can't imagine a reason that would happen).
Some badges are more 'ad hoc', such as the Easy Rider badge. These are for community Members who have an EV, or are interested in EVs, take part in EV discussions. If that Member was to suddenly decide that EVs were rubbish and he/she was going to stick with internal combustion engines..... then they might see the badge disappear! 😉
I've posted in the Testing & Feedback section some more badges we've cooked up :)
Let me know what you reckon!

Do replies count as posts? Or it just the number of times you create a post

Excellent Q @Lapa - replies are your posts in the Community, and topics are when you create new posts (also called threads). Hope that makes sense. :grinning:

So looking at your profile as it is just now, you’ve posted 49 times in reply to other peoples’ threads, and have started 3 threads of your own!

Thank you @Nataly. I thought there was a badge for posting 50 times so thought I’d better see which ones counted towards the number as nothing had come through yet. More posting needed I think 😂

I think the first one if for posting 100 times…. so not far off now @Lapa:wink:

We’re actually currently redesigning the badges and are asking Community members to vote for their favourite - we need your vote as things are very neck and neck at the mo! You can see the options and vote here:grin:
