So, I joined pure planet after
Carefully working out my bill
With our other supplier based
On KwH units. The price that
Pure planet offered me seemed
Great, I gave a slightly higher
Estimate of our usage and pure
Planet said that they could save
Me money. I have not even
Been with them a month and now
They are saying my debit is
Going to be higher than with my
Previous supplier whose rate
Was considerably higher.
Has anyone had a similar issue.

I use 502 units a month on average
Have done for the past year
That works out at around £60
With the 12p per kWh yet they want
To charge me £102 in the winter
And £68 in the summer

Pure Planet will only charge you for what you use, but often we need to work out your DD based on your previous usage. This post has all the details about our current tariff.

Remember though there's a membership fee for each fuel - this is a standing charge of £10 and was certainly included in the quoted amount. You can see how this works on our App, simply go to My Account > Your Tariff. It's all in there.

I've spoken to the team and they confirmed your DD was indeed based on your usage history, sent to us by your previous supplier.

The good news is that they also told me they have set your DD back to the original amount. There will be a review after 6 months.

At the end of the day it's down to how much you use ;)
