What’s the best way of researching/getting a quote? What sort of monthly cost?

Hi Mike
Have a look at Google or comparison sites.
Cost can vary depending on whether you want insurance in case something goes wrong, or a maintenance contract where you get the boiler serviced and repairs. Cost will also vary depending on make, type and age of boiler, plus if you want to pay an excess for each repair.
Have a search, but be wary, if you go for the insurance type of cover, you must also have the boiler regularly serviced, or they can refuse to pay out.
Some people like to go for the self insured option, where you put the "premium" away to pay for any repairs
Unfortunately, like everything else, these plans costs rise significantly in the following year, so be prepared to shop around each year for the best deal

I was going to buy cover, then discovered I already had it on my home emergency insurance... so saved a lot of money!
