URGENT - Cannot read meter and reading due today 20/11/20

OK so I have a smart meter and for the gas reading it’s in kWh which seemingly you do not want. I have tried to take a reading from the actual meter but there are no numbers shown on the display!! I don’t understand why I have to take a reading when I have a smart meter installed. I read somewhere on this blog that you do not want smart meter readings but I have a disability so getting down on my hands and knees to read both meters every month is very difficult for me! What am I to do???

Hi.

You're talking to fellow PP customers on this forum, and as such we don't have access to customers accounts. But we will help if we can.

you can register with the Priority Register service

To read your smart meter you need to 'wake it up'/activate the display

Hey @Debbie69

Looks like you got a great (and speedy!) reply from @Angelabikerbabe - has it helped you get your meter readings ready for sending today?

She’s also linked to info on signing up for our Priority Services Register, in which you could select for your meters to be read by a meter reader, instead of needing to get the readings yourself.

You may also find our FAQ about whether your smart meters will work if you switch suppliers helpful
